 "Celebrating the Czech Culture"

On the 28th of February we celebrated the Czech culture in our school. Several groups of students were involved in the preparation of this event by taking part in activities and projects related to cultural elements of the Czech culture, that is traditional dances and food as well as presentations of world heritage sites. In particular:

The students of grade A were taught about the Czech Republic in the school subject of Geography, by their teacher Ms Aria Katzika. They learned about its geographical position, the capital city, the main cities of the Czech Rep. and also they were informed about its history and culture. Then, they were asked to collect information and photos on the internet about the Czech World Heritage Sites (Unesco) and finally they presented their work in posters that decorated their class.

Celebrating Turkish culture in our school was an event that sounded quite familiar to most of us as cultural features regarding taste and flavours of each country  have intevened in one another through the ages. So, apart from tasting turkish delicacies and presenting interesting sights in Instabul, we also enjoyed the experience of listening to Turkish poetry and of course to folk music.
