"Celebrating the Czech Culture"
On the 28th of February we celebrated the Czech culture in our school. Several groups of students were involved in the preparation of this event by taking part in activities and projects related to cultural elements of the Czech culture, that is traditional dances and food as well as presentations of world heritage sites. In particular:

The students of grade A were taught about the Czech Republic in the school subject of Geography, by their teacher Ms Aria Katzika. They learned about its geographical position, the capital city, the main cities of the Czech Rep. and also they were informed about its history and culture. Then, they were asked to collect information and photos on the internet about the Czech World Heritage Sites (Unesco) and finally they presented their work in posters that decorated their class.

Cooking project. Our Comenius team students, coordinated by Ms Aspa Karasouli, were really excited in collecting and preparing traditional czech meals and desserts. So, on the 1st of February delicious tastes were presented and offered to students and teachers of our school. The help and cooperation of parents was invaluable. Thanks to all people involved.

Our school's traditional dance team performed a popular traditional czech folk dance, which is danced in Karlovy Vary, coordinated by the P.E. teacher Ms Eleni Andreou. The students managed to learn the dance steps after regular rehearsals and also to wear clothes as similar to the original ones as possible.
